Does serendipity always result in rejoice?
Incident One: On Friday evening, I invited my friend to dinner at 7pm and he stays at a distance of 2hr drive in car from my home. It was already 8pm and there was no sign of him. I called on his mobile to find out that he got struck in traffic jam. He reached home at 9pm. I’m sure people in Toronto must have experienced the pinch of Friday traffic on Highway 400 (Thank god we are blessed with Highway 407). I asked my friend empathetically that whether it was accident or road maintenance that caused the traffic jam. He conveyed that there were signs of neither accident nor maintenance. After he left I was practicing questions from 1000 CR and desperately wanted a break. I started browsing about traffic jams and solutions (see how CR is helping me !!!) . I came across eye opener information (very interesting read for daily commuters). Probably my friend was victim of this situation.
Incident Two: I was in Wal Mart this week and old lady in front of me was paying through her debit card. She said to the cashier, “In this new millennium you don’t even know who stole your money ” and she covered the keypad with one hand while typing her PIN number. The question kept ringing in my mind. I wanted to know how the PIN number concept works and whether PIN number can be hacked while the data is transferred through internet (this old article has shocking answer).
PS: These incidents are serendipity in my context and may not be same for you (may be its known information for you)
